Special guest: Cristian Molaro, BelgiumThis show did not go like I had planned. I knew that being in the hotel for the DB2 Symposium in Chicago I could expect trouble, but not the kind of trouble I did run into. But in the end everybody could enjoy Cristian's presentation so I guess all's well that ends well.
Show Host Klaas Brant CommentaryI carefully planned my trip, doing a webinar must be doable from a hotel, many salesmen do it. Nevertheless I asked the hotel for fixed internet. After I explained what I needed ( "you know, with a fixed wire to your PC ") the hotel assured me they would hold for me one of these "devices ". When I arrived I got my device, which I think is either internet via the power network or a wireless receiver. I guess it is the last one because it is a slow or as fast as my built-in wireless receiver. But it turned out that this was not the major problem this morning. When I wanted to start the show gotowebinar wanted to update my gotowebinar client. This failed during the download of the software and the show didn't start. Luckily Cristian was able to start the show from his end. Strangely, a few minutes after the hour, there was a reminder from gotowebinar: you're late, do you want to join the meeting? I answered yes and the client launched without a problem… What a mess! So today's show does not follow the standard layout, but we did the polls and the presentation. The replay is also not the best we have made so far, but I still hope you enjoy it! Join The DB2Night Show™ LinkedIn GroupThe DB2Night Show™ has a LinkedIn Group.
