Prospective Contestants should complete the DB2's GOT TALENT Application electronically and deliver it to db2sgottalent "at" dbisoftware.com. The earlier you submit your application, the greater your chances for being selected to participate. If your application is accepted, you will be notified of show date and assigned a contestant number. Make sure you are in the studio audience with your headset and microphone ready to go. YOU ONLY GET ONE CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST, GREAT, LASTING, and WINNING IMPRESSION.
Contestants will be assigned to speak on ONE of the following dates:
A roster of approved topics for each contest date will be published in advance on this site and in social media forums.
Contestants will be given 7 minutes (maximum) to complete their presentation.
Our panel of judges will critique each presentation and score it on a scale of 1-10. The average judge score will be computed and this average will determine the amount of the contestant's honorarium award (ranging in value from $10-$75 USD on a prorata basis).
That was easy, right!??!!? You're almost done!
Next, The DB2Night Show will edit its replay video files to extract individual contestant presentations. The contestant videos will be published on YouTube where the number of views, likes, and dislikes can be tracked. People will be able to comment on, discuss, and otherwise share the contestant presentation videos. To determine 1st and 2nd place, we will look for the contestant videos that have the most LIKES.
The DB2's GOT TALENT 1st and 2nd place contest winners will be announced on April 1st, 2016, during a special episode of The DB2Night Show themed "All About IDUG".
The DB2Night Show, its hosts, sponsors, and its judges reserve the right to make adjustments to the contest format and its rules at their discretion. In other words, it's in the rules: we can change the rules.
Please be aware that the April 1st "All About IDUG" show requires a separate webinar registration.
