After being a computer operator I made my first steps into the beautiful world called Data Management.
Not with DB2, that wasn't born yet, but with IMS. Good old IMS with HDAM, HIDAM and the DL/1 access. Superfast and still used a lot. Phil talks about the hashing table in DB2 10, which brings back the randomizer and the hash access.
