Show Host Klaas Brant Commentary
DB2 Explain has always been a bit difficult. And each DB2 release has added a bit of new information. I can remember that in the early days (we're taking about the eighties here), there was an IBM guy from Denmark who wrote a special program to format the plan table and provide comments in clear language together with catalog stats and index information. Easy Explain Explanatory it was called. I doubt whether it still exists. It was all very unofficial and a little giveaway the IBM SE could give to the customer. Today's presentation was all about new explain possibilities. Missed it? Then download the recording and enjoy!
