On 29 November IBM released a new DB2 component called IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator or short IDAA. Only a few days old and already a major topic in the DB2Night Show! Namik Hrle, one of the architects of this technology, explains how well integrated this Accelerator is into DB2. The requestor is not even aware of the fact that the DB2 optimizer is deciding to route the query to the hardware box. Namik shows how they did it and what the "secret sauce" is (he explains the hardware). This is a show you have to see! And if you wonder what that weird intro music is… it is 5 December.
