Scott Hayes, the founder of DBI, and widely recognized DB2® performance expert,
will remain with the company and is excited to bring the investment group into the
fold as it allows DBI to expand many of its capabilities in ways that previously were
not possible. He will continue in his active role helping customers maximize their
investment in DBI's products as well as shaping and leading the vision for DBI's
market-leading
PureFeat™ Performance Management Suite of
monitoring, tuning, trending, and alerting products for IBM DB2 LUW.
The investor group, led by Jason Paull, brings significant financial and management capabilities
along with extensive experience with startups. The investment will add resources for product
development and new marketing initiatives.
Jason Paull brings with him an extensive background in IT having worked for and managed teams
within Price Waterhouse Coopers and Continental Airlines. Further, he has spent the last
few decades of his career in smaller startup opportunities, most recently at refresH20 where he
successfully grew revenues from around $200,000 per year to over $2M in 7 years.
Lee Goddard is a well-known DB2 expert and is highly regarded by many IBM DB2 LUW
customers with large Data Warehouse databases. Lee spent over 16 years with IBM and helped
achieve over $200M in revenues through his technical sales efforts and deep expertise.
Mr. Goddard is delighted to join DBI saying "I'm thrilled about my new role. Helping
people with DB2 performance makes me excited to wake up every morning!"
Together, Jason, Lee, and Scott believe they can continue to build on DBI's successes in the market.
Mr. Hayes remarked, "Over 25% of the Top 25 retailers, plus others, use DBI for accelerated
e-Commerce performance. We're growing in banking, insurance, and government as well. Any
organization concerned with IT costs and Application Performance Management needs to do
their due diligence and discover the savings and efficiencies that DBI can rapidly deliver."
IT Professionals can meet with DBI at the IDUG Conference
in Orlando Florida, April 29 - May 3, 2013, by visiting booth #103.
