That Whole Cheaper and Faster Thing - We Were Just Kidding

For those of you that are new to this blog, let me recap season one of “Cloudy, with a Chance of Goofballs,” where we discovered that in the Cloud:

Now to season two: Ian Barker recently came out with a story in betanews with this headline: “Management underestimates the time and cost needed for the cloud.” It is a short article, and well worth reading in its entirety. It reports the results of a survey of 400 “IT decision makers” conducted by Wakefield Research and Logicworks. Here are the most startling of the findings:

	...believe that their company’s leadership team underestimates the time and cost required to maintain resources in the cloud.1
	...report that they are only somewhat confident that their organization could immediately address an issue that led to downtime in cloud services.2
	...of respondents believe their organization’s IT workforce is not completely prepared to address the challenges of managing their cloud resources over the next five years.3
